EARLIER THIS YEAR in this column, we wrote about how Clint Bowyer’s dad had trouble negotiating the ice in his car at Pumpin’ Pete’s gas station and got into a fender bender. This caused us to speculate if perhaps Clint got his NASCAR driving skills from his mother.
Last weekend in the Daytona 500, Clint made national news when he crossed the finish line with his car on fire and sliding on its roof.
Some have questioned if Clint was trying to recreate a scene from the movie “Talladaga Nights.” But with a spectacular crash like that, we wondered if Clint’s dad has been offering his son some of his helpful driving tips.
