TUESDAY, Emporia Celebrated its 150th birthday at White Auditorium, and what a grand event it was.
The auditorium was filled with history exhibits, birthday cakes and birthday cards.
With all the smiles and laughter that filled the auditorium, it was apparent that the people in attendance enjoyed themselves.
It was great to see people of all ages and races coming together to celebrate Emporia's rich history.
The event inspired so much community togetherness, it is too bad that we don’t have a birthday party for Emporia every year.
