Moran to visit Emporia
Congressman Jerry Moran will visit Morris, Chase and Lyon Counties during his 11th Annual Big Listening Tour. Moran is visiting communities in each of the 69 counties of the First Congressional District and will be in Council Grove, Strong City and Emporia on Feb. 20. From 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. Moran will be at the Hays House in Council Grove; from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. Moran will be at the Youth Technology Center in Strong City; and from 12 to 1 p.m. Moran will attend the noon Rotary Club Meeting at the Emporia Country Club.
Minuteman Civil Defense Corp meeting in Emporia
There will be a Kansas Minuteman Civil Defense Corps meeting in Emporia starting at 1 p.m. at the American Legion, 2921 W. 12th Ave. The meeting purpose is public education about the Minuteman Defense Corps as well as insight on our national illegal immigration problems.
