CPR class
Newman Regional Health will be host for an American Red Cross adult-infant-child CPR class from 8:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Friday in the Continuing Education classroom. Registration can be made at the hospital Marketing and Education Department on second floor. For information, call 343-6800, ext 2520.
Soup supper
The annual soup supper for the Bethel Schoolhouse community will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at the schoolhouse. Each family is asked to bring either chili or vegetable beef soup, plus a dessert and table service. The Pep & Progress community unit will provide beverages.
Dance clinic
The Emporia High School Dance Team is sponsoring a mini-junior dance clinic, ages K-8th grade, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the Emporia High School. The cost, $15 for each child, includes a T-shirt, dance routine to be performed at the EHS boys varsity basketball game on Feb. 23, admission ticket and snack.
To guarantee a T-shirt, register by Feb. 14, by calling Sally Sanchez at EHS, 341-2365, ext. 242. However, a T-shirt cannot be guaranteed after the registration date. Registration for the clinic will be at 5 p.m. in front lobby of EHS.
