Cards for a big anniversary
Dale and Inez Hines will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Valentine’s Day. The Hineses were married on Feb. 14, 1942.
Their sons and spouses will have a family celebration for the couple next weekend. They are: Ron and Judy Hines, Don Hines, and Ray and Sandy Hines.
A card shower has been requested. Cards may be mailed to the couple at 532 Road 140, Emporia KS 66801.
Prepping for Prom
Madelynn’s will host a “Prom-a-pa-looza” from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday for area high school students. A number of local businesses who sell prom-related goods will set up booths at the store, 511 Commercial St., or have donated prizes that can be won throughout the night. There will also be music and refreshments. The new radio station KISS 103.1 FM will be on hand for the event.
