Rachael Bachman, senior student at Emporia High School, was named the Emporia Lions Club Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Greg and Karen Bachman of Emporia. She has been on the Honor Roll, received academic letters and named Scholar Athlete every year from 2003 to 2006. Extracurricular activities include varsity basketball, Spartan Club, varsity tennis, Impact, SADD and track. Other achievements include receiving the basketball letter, named basketball Athlete of the Week and a member of the All League Tennis Team. Bachman’s leadership experience includes being a class leader from 2005 to 2007 and she was Freshman Connection Leader in 2005 and 2006. She has served the community as an enrollment worker, a youth basketball leader and coach, a German tutor, youth volleyball leader and a Kansas Kids’ Fitness Day Leader. During the summer, she was an aide at Emporia Physical Therapy and fitness assistant at Emporia Fitness.
