Emporia State University has announced its candidates for the next director of university advancement.
Interviews were set to begin today for the candidates, who are attempting to fill ESU’s principal fund-raising position. The first candidate interviewed will be Sandra Fruit of Newton, the vice president of development at Prairie View Inc. and a past associate director of gift planning for Kansas State University.
Fruit will appear at an open forum at 4 p.m. today in the Flint Hills Room of the ESU Memorial Union.
Other candidates for the job are Judith Heasley of Durango, Colo., the vice president of institutional advancement at Fort Lewis College and Wendell Snodgrass of Topeka, the executive director for St. Francis Health Center Foundation.
Heasley’s forum will be at 4 p.m. Thursday while Snodgrass’s will start at 3 p.m. Friday.
The individual chosen will also serve as president of the ESU Foundation.
