Arrested after chase
An Emporia man was arrested early Sunday morning after he fled from police in Emporia.
Theodore A. Fuller, 22, was arrested after he fled when an Emporia police officer tried to stop him for a traffic violation in the area of 12th Avenue and Stanton Street.
Sgt. David DeVries of the Emporia Police Department said Fuller initially began to stop and then fled. The officer then chased Fuller’s vehicle. After a brief chase through mainly residential areas, Fuller’s vehicle got stuck in a field just southwest of Logan Avenue and Congress Street.
Fuller was arrested and could face charges for fleeing, being an habitual violator, driving on a revoked license, possession of marijuana, reckless driving and other traffic offenses.
