K-State scholars
More than 6,000 Kansas State University students are academic scholarship recipients for the 2007-2008 school year. K-State students from Emporia receiving scholarships totaling more than $1,000 include:

Erin Diane Bachman, $1500 Max E. and Jean Hollinger Scholarship in Journalism and Mass Communications;
Crystal Rose Bandel, $5000 Arts and Sciences Fund for Excellence and $500 Dr. Willard C. and Oma Grace Schwartz-First Christian Church Scholarship;
Anna Christine Binder, $1500 Achievement Award;
Sierra Elizabeth Boswell, $1000 Memorial Scholarship Fund;
Eric Benjamin Dorsey, $1583 Kansas State University Leadership Fund and $1417 Michael J. and Shelly L. Smith Scholarship;
