Fire destroys home in Emporia

A home at 1302 East St. was destroyed after a fire that broke out this afternoon.

The fire call came in at 12:24 p.m. at a trailer home. The fire was determined to be caused by a hot water heater. Names of the residents are not available at this time. There were no injuries associated with the fire.
