Emporia Schools
BREAKFAST
Monday: no school.
Tuesday: New Year’s Day, no school.
Wednesday: no school.
Thursday: texas toast and jelly or PopTarts.
Friday: ham and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookie.
LUNCH
Monday: no school.
Tuesday: New Year’s Day, no school.
Wednesday: no school.
Thursday: hot ham and cheese sandwich on a bun, tater tots, broccoli florets and dip, pineapple tidbits.
Friday: bosco sticks, marinara sauce, tossed salad, tropical fruit. cookie.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, california-blend vegetables, fruit cocktail.
Tuesday: New Year’s Day, closed.
Wednesday: beef stroganoff, california-blend vegetables, wheat bread, fruited yogurt.
Thursday: pasta bake, italian vegetables, strawberries, bread, cheesecake.
Friday: ham and beans, zucchini and tomatoes, cornbread, plums.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: chicken and rice casserole, winter mix vegetables, biscuits, peaches.
Tuesday: New Year’s Day, closed.
Wednesday: meatloaf, mashed potatoes and brown gravy, baked squash, fruit and marshmallow cream.
Thursday: tuna and noodle casserole, spinach, wheat roll, fruit cocktail, butterscotch brownies.
Friday: oven-fried chicken, potato wedges, carrots, wheat bread, gelatin with fruit.
