Christmas 2007
“Christmas 2007,” a festival of Christmas music, will be presented through Christmas Day on KPOR, 90.7 FM. short inspirational features as well as Christmas cantatas by renowned choirs will be interspersed throughout this special programming. Family Radio’s “Christmas Evensong,” airs weekdays at 5:35 p.m. through Dec. 28 and is a full hour of traditional carols and sacred classical music of the Christmas season.
“The Majesty and Glory of Christmas” will be aired at 10 p.m. today; on Saturday, “Songs of Christmas” will be aired at 10 a.m., “Adoration” at 1:30 p.m. and the Wheaton College Christmas Concert at 10 p.m. The St. Olaf College Christmas Festival will be featured at 1p.m. Sunday and “The Night of Miracles” at 10 p.m.
On Monday, “How Great Our Joy” will be aired at 1 p.m. and the Wheaton College Christmas Concert at 10 p.m.
On Christmas Day, a “Canticle of Christmas” will be featured at 10 a.m. and Christmas with the National Christian Choir will be aired at 1 p.m
On Christmas night, Family Radio’s traditional broadcast of Handel’s Messiah will be broadcast at 8 p.m. This CD recording will be performed by The Philharmonica Baroque Orchestra, U.C. Berkeley Chamber Chorus, conducted by Nicholas McGegan.
The traditional Christmas carols and sacred music of the season are broadcast on a non-commercial basis.
