THE HUMANE Society of the Flint Hills is pleased there were 469 spay and neuter surgeries performed by regional veterinarians in October.

Great volunteer work and the generosity of Dr. Allen Lewis, who donated ample hay, made for the success of this fall’s annual Hay Giveaway. More than 120 bags were given to people concerned for their animals’ comfort and health.

We regret the cancellation of the annual Santa Paws event because of the ice storm. We will make an effort to re-schedule it.
