Emporia State forward Allie Renberg was selected as the MIAA’s player of the week, the conference announced Monday.
Renberg, a 6-foot-1 junior from Sleepy Eye, Minn., posted 26 points and 12 rebounds off the bench in the Lady Hornets’ 111-51 victory over Central Methodist on Friday. It was Renberg’s second consecutive double-double.
The junior had 10 straight points during one stretch — including a pair of three-point plays — to help ESU in an 18-4 first-half run.
Sixteen of Renberg’s points and eight of her rebounds came after halftime, as she finished 10-for-19 from the floor.
Renberg is a graduate of Sleepy Eye High School. She transferred to ESU from Iowa Lakes Community College.
