KCX party
Kansas Continental Express (KCX) held its annual Christmas Dinner Party on Dec. 1 at Bruff’s. Wayne and Elaine Theel were hosts for the party.
Others in attendance were David and Pam Trelc, Chuck and Jan Carson, Jerry and Candace Runkle, Wendell McLean, Kelley Perme, Brad Johnson, Cybill MiIlburn and Casey Coates, all of Emporia; Doug and Pam Morgan of Lawrence; and Tony and Pat Masters of Spring Hill.
The evening festivities included appetizers, dinner, dessert, service recognition, presentation of gifts and a game of Bingo. Jerry Runkle was recognized for completing 10 years of service in 2007. The KCX employees presented the Theel’s with gift certificates. Each employee and agent was given an antique-looking music box of either a Santa or snowman, which pedaled a bicycle while the Christmas song played. Each person attending won a gift certificate while playing Bingo. Chuck Carson won the Santa in a sleigh centerpiece by completing a Bingo blackout. With only one number left open on the blackout, Cybil Milburn took home two decorative pinecone garlands.
