Animal tags due
The Emporia Police Department announced the 2008 animal tags are now available at the police department.
Animals (dogs or cats) kept in the city limits of Emporia must have an animal tag. The cost is $10 for male and female animals and $3 for neutered and spayed animals. Owners need to bring proof of current rabies vaccination and time of purchase.
Animal tags can be purchased at the police department from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday from clerical personnel. Animals must be at least six months old.
