The Emporia Pizza Hut WingStreet will have a Wackiest Wing Eater contest here in recognition of WingStreet’s first-place prize at the National Buffalo Wing Festival in Buffalo, N.Y., held during Labor Day weekend.
WingStreet placed first in the “Traditional Hot Wing Sauce” category for its Buffalo Burnin’ Hot Wings, according to information from Krystal Riffel, marketing manager for NPCInternational.
Riffel said that entries can illustrate “where or the way you eat WingStreet Buffalo Burnin’ Hot Wings.”
“Maybe you smother them in ranch and eat them with a spoon. Or maybe you have a friend toss them to you from across the room like popcorn,” Riffel said. “Get creative.”
Entrants will need to submit a photo of their “wackiest wing-eating experience,” with name and telephone number written on the back of the photo, she said.
One photo will be chosen to be showcased in the new Pizza Hut WingStreet restaurant, and the winner also will receive a certificate for free wings for one year.
Entries need to be submitted to a member of management at the restaurant by the close of business on Dec. 14. The winner will be notified by Dec. 19.
