Emporia Schools
These meals will be served next week in the Emporia schools:
Breakfast
Monday: cereal and clodhoppers or PopTarts.
Tuesday: ham and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: funnel cake or texas toast and jelly.
Thursday: burrito or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: little piggy or cereal and graham cookies.
Lunch
Monday: chicken parmesan, garlic biscuit, tater tots, broccoli florets and dip, pineapple tidbits.
Tuesday: bosco sticks, marinara sauce, tossed salad, tropical fruit, cookie.
Wednesday: chicken fajita, soft tortilla, Mexican rice, tossed salad, banana, milk.
Thursday: country steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, dinner roll, corn, peach half.
Friday: little smokies, macaroni and cheese, dinner roll, green beans, fresh orange smiles.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk; lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: sloppy joe on a bun, sicilian-blend vegetables, scalloped potatoes, pears.
Tuesday: scalloped chicken, capri vegetables, wheat roll, melon balls and peaches.
Wednesday: beef and broccoli with rice, corn, yeasty roll, cherry crisp.
Thursday: tater tot casserole, tossed salad, peas, wheat bread, fruit cocktail.
Friday: pulled pork, bun, baked potato, carrot-raisin salad, gelatin with fruit.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

Tuesday: spaghetti with meat sauce, tossed salad, garlic bread, strawberries and bananas.
Wednesday: roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet and sour cabbage, bread, five-cup salad.
Thursday: scalloped potatoes with ham, peas, wheat bread, blushing pears.
Friday: turkey, sweet potatoes, vegetables, hot roll, fruit, cake.
