Reception set for Jack Cunningham
The family of Jack Cunningham has planned a reception and card shower on Saturday, Dec. 15, in honor of his 80th birthday anniversary. He was born Dec. 22, 1927, in Hartford.
The reception, which is open to the public, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 2 Neosho St.
Hosts for the reception will be his children and their spouses, Ron and Mary Ann Cunningham of Tulsa; Linda and John Fitzpatrick of Topeka; Mark and Kathy Cunningham of Peculiar, Mo.; Marshall Cunningham of Austin, Tex.; De and Richard Henderson of Emporia; and Doug and Libby Cunningham of Prairie Village.
The family requests no gifts.
Republican Women’s meeting rescheduled
The Santa Fe Trail Republican Women of North Lyon County have rescheduled a meeting that had been cancelled because of inclement weather. The meeting has been changed to 2 p.m. Thursday.
The Rev. Mark Stukey will bring the Christmas message. A Christmas stocking will be available for members and friends to donate to the North Lyon County Child Development Center to purchase equipment. The meeting is open to the public. Christmas refreshments will be served.
