Students in Emporia State University’s School of Business are getting high marks on their knowledge and ability to apply significant concepts, theories and analytical methods to practical business problems. They scored in the 85th percentile on the recently-administered Major Field Test-Business (MFT).
The ranking is the highest ever for the business school.
“We’re improving, and I would give credit to the faculty and our students,” said Robert Hite, dean of the School of Business . “This result is particularly impressive since only the better schools of business administer this standardized test,” Hite added. The MFT is a comprehensive examination of business concepts. Students are tested on their knowledge of accounting, economics, management, quantitative business analysis, finance, marketing, legal and social environments, information systems, and international issues.
