Bonds, temporary notes and agreements involving Hill’s Pet Nutrition are on the agenda for the city commission meeting scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the commission meeting room.

The commission will be asked to approve a resolution authorizing Mayor Julia Johnson to transfer land to Hill’s and to approve a railroad-crossing license agreement with the company.

An ordinance authorizing the city’s general obligation refunding and improvement bonds is on the agenda, as well as a resolution specifying terms and conditions of the bonds. A resolution authorizing the city’s general obligation temporary notes also is on the agenda.

Purchase of a sidewalk sweeper, quotes for a used shag/yard truck at the transfer station, and bids for an airport tractor also will be considered.

The new Neighborhood Revitalization Plan is expected to be approved, along with an interlocal agreement with the county for its cooperation in the program.

Other items on the agenda include:

• a resolution setting 2008 rates for the Emporia Municipal Golf Course.

• a resolution to charge fees for off-hour events at the David Traylor Zoo of Emporia.

• year-end appointments to city boards

• a report from City Manager Matt Zimmerman on city activities.

• approval of the annual charge-off of uncollected accounts.
