A resurfacing project in northeast Lyon County will cost more than $600,000.
Dustrol of Towanda was awarded a bid of $609,420.09 to seal eight miles of Kansas Highway 170 from Kansas Highway 99 east to the Osage County line. This is the main highway running through Reading.
The Kansas Department of Transportation announced the winning bid on Thursday, after letting bids on Nov. 14.
Other projects awarded in the same cycle include two in Greenwood County. Dustrol will seal K-99 from the junction with U.S. Highway 54 north to the Greenwood-Lyon county line for a cost of $1,760,781.98. Cornejo & Sons of Wichita will grade and resurface from the north city limits of Eureka north for 4.5 miles. That project will cost $761,043.95.
