Emporia Schools
These meals will be served next week in the Emporia schools:
Breakfast
Monday: cereal and muffin or PopTarts.
Tuesday: sausage and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: drizzled scone or texas toast and jelly.
Thursday: pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: pancake on a stick or cereal and graham cookies.
Lunch
Monday: chicken patty on a bun, fries, baby carrots and dip, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: cheese pizza, tossed salad, strawberries, cake or vanilla wafer.
Wednesday: burrito, nacho chips, cheese sauce, tossed salad, applesauce.
Thursday: country steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, dinner roll, corn, peach half.
Friday: little smokies, macaroni and cheese, dinner roll, green beans, fresh orange smiles.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk; lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli, roll, apricots.
Tuesday: turkey tetrazzini, mixed vegetables, wheat bread, strawberries and banana.
Wednesday: parmesan chicken, creamed peas and potatoes, spinach salad, wheat roll, brownies.
Thursday: beef lasagna, green beans, texas toast, scalloped apples.
Friday: beef stew, cottage cheese, crackers, pineapple.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

Monday: turkey tetrazzini, carrots, bread, four-fruit compote.
Tuesday: meatloaf, baked potatoes, green beans, hot roll, baked apple.
Wednesday: oven-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli, bread, fruit cocktail.
Thursday: beef and noodles, corn, hot rolls, citrus sections.
Friday: No meals at Allen and Admire, Senior Dinner at Northern Heights.
