Stabbing hearing
The man who allegedly stabbed 24-year-old Liban A. Ali on Saturday had his first court appearance Wednesday.
Abdi G. Abdi, who is accused of stabbing Ali, has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a felony charge of obstructing the legal process.
The charges stem from Saturday’s incident at 905 East St., where Ali was found on the ground in front of an apartment complex with multiple stab wounds to his back.
Ali was treated and released from Newman Regional Health.
