Hartford volleyball goes 1-1 against
Osage City
The Hartford volleyball team split a dual with Osage City on Tuesday, winning the first match 24-26, 25-18, 25-17 before falling in Match Two 25-21, 25-21.
In the matinee, the Lady Jaguars (4-3) were led by Amy Bolen, who had eight kills. Kim Darbro added seven kills and Amber Schmidt contributed five in a match that lasted one hour, 20 minutes.
Hartford posted a .354 hitting percentage.
On Saturday, Hartford notched a 3-2 record at the season-opening Peabody Invitational.
The Lady Jaguars picked up victories over Burlingame (25-11, 25-18), Caldwell (26-24, 25-23) and Central Burden (21-25, 25-19, 25-20).
Lyndon volleyball
off to 3-0 start
The Lyndon volleyball team started its season 3-0 after taking victories over Crest, Marmaton Valley and Yates Center on Tuesday.
Stephanie Goetz leads the team with 18 kills, while Chelsea Schmitz has 16.
Cara Bolz has 21 digs, while Lindsay Wigger (26) and Krista Banzhaf (23) are tops on the team in assists.
The Lady Tigers start Lyon County League play next week.
