Lyon County commissioners are set to approve the 2008 budget during Thursday’s Lyon County Commission meeting, which will start at 8 a.m. in the Lyon County Commission chambers of the Lyon County Courthouse.
Commissioners discussed during this morning’s study session how they will proceed with Thursday’s public hearing for the budget. There will be a public hearing at 10 a.m. with public comment time just before the hearing at 9:45 a.m.
The 2008 budget will raise about $12.4 million in taxes, with a 1.3 mill levy raise from 2007’s budget.
At the close of the public hearing, commissioners will finalize the 2008 budget.
