Wednesday: drizzled scone or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: pancake on a stick or cereal and graham cookie.
LUNCH
Monday: cheeseburger on a bun, seasoned fries, baby carrots and dip, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: taco pizza, tossed salad, strawberries, shortcake.
Wednesday: crispito, mozzarella cheese stick, nachos with cheese sauce, tossed salad, applesauce.
Thursday: turkey fritter, dinner roll, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, peaches.
Friday: mini shrimp poppers, macaroni and cheese, green beans, orange smiles.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk; lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
EMPORIA
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home-delivered meals, call 340-8001.
Monday: hamburger, bun, sliced tomato, three-bean salad, fruit cocktail.
Tuesday: turkey tetrazzini, winter blend vegetables, roll, lime gelatin with cottage cheese.
Wednesday: chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas, wheat roll, peanut butter pie.
Thursday: swiss steak, scalloped potatoes, green beans, bread, banana.
Friday: scalloped chicken, broccoli, cucumber-onion salad, wheat bread, apricots.
NORTH LYON COUNTY
Friendship meals are served at noon at: The Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414.
Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
Monday: chicken pot pie, coleslaw, bread, fruit-tapioca cream.
Tuesday: salisbury steak with gravy, O’Brien potatoes, corn, bread, apricots, cake with frosting.
Wednesday: pork roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, california-blend vegetables, bread, banana compote.
Thursday: scalloped turkey, harvard beets, bread, fruit and marshmallow cream.
Friday: cook’s choice.
