“The weather cooperated with us, except for a couple of hot days and windy days,” she said. “But we didn’t have any rainouts. And we had a lot of good volunteers.”
Every year’s Corporate Challenge has a lesson for the next one, and this year’s seems to be: Be careful when playing kickball on a T-ball diamond. On the small playing fields, several kickers in the fun division were able to boot the ball right out of the park — too many for Rourk’s comfort.
“We lost half our balls and I was afraid we weren’t going to have enough left for the championships,” she said with a laugh.
Rourk said that surveys would be sent out to participants today, asking for their comments on the Corporate Challenge and what could be done to improve it next year.
