A rock n’ roll benefit will be held Friday at Natasha’s to help Brandon Ayers pay medical bills.
Ayers, the son of Brown’s Shoe Fit owner Jim Ayers, has been diagnosed with an arter-io-venous malformation or AVM. Typically, the condition involves a cluster of blood vessels that keeps blood from getting properly to the brain.
A friend said Brandon Ayers has had two neurosurgeries so far and that more may be needed.
The benefit begins at 7 p.m. at the pool hall, 627 Commercial St. The evening’s performers will be The DeWayn Bros., the Highwater String Band, Elexa Dawson & the Hitchhikers, and Kristy Korsak. In addition, a number of items given by local merchants will be raffled.
Tickets are $5. Attendees must be at least 21. The event is sponsored by Natasha’s, Wheat State Pizza and Monarch Tattoo.
