A high-speed chase from Coffey County to south-central Emporia ended in an arrest Sunday morning.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department, 19-year-old Olga Cantu-Crowell was arrested following the chase, which began at 9:47 a.m. Sunday. Cantu-Crowell had been driving at about 110 mph on Interstate 35 when the Kansas Highway Patrol tried to pull her over at milepost 152. She didn’t slow down, and Lyon County deputies soon joined the chase around 9:50 a.m.
At milepost 133, sheriff’s officers set up “spike strips” on the highway to disable Cantu-Crowell’s Chevy Impala. The Impala ran over the strips, tearing out the driver’s side tires, but kept going for Emporia.
According to the KHP, Cantu-Crowell exited at Sixth Avenue and drove through Emporia at about 40 mph to 50 mph. Authorities said she ran through a number of stop signs before finally being brought to a stop at South Avenue and Constitution Street.
Lt. John Eichkorn of the KHP said Cantu-Crowell was charged with speeding, fleeing or eluding a law-enforcement officer, driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, not having a driver’s license or wearing a seat belt and other traffic charges. He said that some Lyon County misdemeanor warrants were also served.

I don't think babylover may have read the article correctly I agree, but don't slam her for calling Olga retarded and then telling her she loves her! Haven't you told someone you love Kstrebuchet that what they did was dumb but yet you still love them? Olga is going to need some tough love right now! She needs help!

Good comment Tre! Exactly! Plus other Lyon County misdemeanor warrants.
Sorry Babylover, the system is not responsible. Nobody held a gun to her head while she did drugs and alcohol and speeding like a crazy person. What about all the lives she endangered while she was tearing up the highway?
Babylover, it's people like you who cause people like Olga to have problems because you enable her. By enable, I mean you accept anything and everything she does, and then you defend her. You are no friend; you are her worse enemy. Her worse enemy ever. How long before she dies from all this crap she is doing? She belongs in a rehab unit/jail.

What a surprise......someone posted and actually defended this criminal and blamed the system.

It's always amusing to see the enablers do the talking for the criminals. Happens all the time--the Enabler defends the Criminal, blaming the system and everything else but the Enabler fails to see that s/he is #1 on the list of blame.

"Cantu-Crowell had been driving at about 110 mph"............Geez, she's lucky to be going to jail instead of the morgue. Which is where she is headed unless she gets off the dope and learns to stop for the police. The "system", please, so will it be the "systems" fault when she kills an innocent family?
