Singers needed
The Twin Rivers Chapter of Sweet Adelines is looking for singers to participate in the chorus for the “USO show” during the veterans’ tribute in November. Rehearsals will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday evenings at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 1508 W. 12th Ave. Music will be provided.

ABWA meeting
The Emporia Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday after dinner at the Lyon County Courthouse Annex at 402 Commercial St. Parking and entrance are on the south side. Go upstairs to first floor and then go left. The speaker will be Kenna Reeves, professor in the department of communications and theater at Emporia State University, who will talk about nonverbal communication.
