Treats from church
The members of St. James Missionary Baptist Church will sell baked goods and barbecue brisket at the Emporia Farmers Market Saturday from 8 a.m. until supplies are exhausted.
Among the treats on sale will be Iona Moore’s pecan pies. She also makes fruit pies — which can be made sugar-free. She has also made some pumpkin pies, which are available by special order. Call 342-4633 to leave an order on her answering machine.
Other members will offer cakes, pies, brownies and cookies. Brisket sandwiches and lunch combos will be for sale.
Money raised will go to church missions and projects.
