The Emporia State football team officially opens the 2007 season today with its first practice at 3:30 p.m. on the ESU practice fields.
All practices are free and are open to the public.
The Hornets will again participate in Applebee’s Autograph Day, which will take place at 1 p.m. on Aug. 25 at Flinthills Mall.
ESU’s first game is Sept. 1, when the Hornets will travel to Gunnison, Colo., to face Western State.
The Hornets’ home opener is slated for Sept. 15 against Southwest Baptist at Welch Stadium.
