Wheat State Pizza, 1015 Commercial St., soon will have a new home.
Remodeling has started on the former Godfather’s Pizza building at 1120 Commercial St.
Adam Hagemann of Wheat State said Wednesday afternoon that no date has been set for the move. He said the building will allow more seating and a buffet.
Wheat State Pizza recently opened Wheat State Grille, a bar and grill, located inside Lucky’s, 707 Commercial St

Well, that's awesome. Godfather's probably would have had better business if they had remodeled that building any time since the early 1970s.

Same here-Looks like a good move for them! A bit less parking maybe.Maybe even more business if they level out the seating area.But often a business is stuck with the existing building layout.Myself,I refuse to do stairs in a restaraunt or nightclub.Didn't go upstairs at Bruff's,Natasha's,4th St.,or Desperado's.So I went less and less,or usually didn't go back at all.I won't pack in my music gear into a second story place to play,either.Rather limits my options,but being in my early 50's,I have the disposable income to spend where it's easier to get around.Kind of seems like a pain in the a nkle for employees to negotiate stairs while serving and bussing tables,too.Hope Wheat State does well there.

I am glad they are moving. I like eating inside and there is not much room where they are now. Can't wait for them to open!!
