WHEN WE got back from vacation, we noticed part of the roof had blown off a metal outbuilding and our 7,000-pound RV had rolled through the pasture.
Being in the news business, we like to have the full story and obviously this incident left us with a few unanswered questions.
Was it high winds, a microburst, small tornado or some sort of other weather anomaly that scattered our belongings? One person told me that Channel 13 reported that Lyon County had some funnel clouds on Saturday, July 21. Certainly some residents must have seen something northwest of Emporia.
If you have any details or pictures of the storm that blew through, drop us a note to help satisfy our curiosity.
Most of the things scattered by the storm were accounted for in the neighbor’s trees, but there are two items still missing and we could use some assistance. The children’s blue plastic swimming pool is gone and Ashley is missing an American flag.
If Mother Nature dropped these items into your yard, please let us know and we would be happy to come pick them up.
