EHS seeking volunteers to give physicals

Emporia High School has scheduled dates to conduct athletic physicals for students attending Emporia High. Boys physicals will be given at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 7, and girls physicals will be given at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 14.

The Athletic Department at EHS is requesting assistance from physicians, nurses and ancillary health professionals to obtain health histories, conduct screenings and perform assessments. There is no monetary compensation; however, sandwiches and refreshments will be provided. EHS also is offering a complimentary season pass for those who volunteer and their families for all regular-season home athletic events scheduled during the 2006-07 school year.

Each clinic will be held at Emporia High School and generally takes three hours to complete.

Physicals will be offered on the dates listed, but two pages on the physical must be completed and signed by a parent/guardian before the physical will be given. Forms are available at the high school (341-2365).
