Lebo concert
The K-6 Spring Concert, “Something for Everyone” will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday in the large gymnasium at Lebo. The band and vocal music departments will present a variety of music programs, directed by Joe Kvas and Jean Rowley.
Alcohol and underage drinkers don’t mix
Underage drinking will be discouraged during a selective enforcement operation planned Saturday at Lyon State Fishing Lake, Osage State Fishing Lake and Melvern Reservoir.
The operation will be conducted by Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks conservation officers between 6 p.m. and midnight, according to information from Dave Adams of Reading, conservation officer.
Scholarship offer
The East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corporation (ECKAN) is taking applications for a $500 college scholarship, which will be awarded to a graduating high school senior who lives in Anderson, Coffey, Douglas, Franklin, Lyon, Miami or Osage counties. Applications must be postmarked no later than Saturday. Awards will be announced May 11.
