City hall notices
The city government reminds residents of Americus that solicitors are required to obtain a city permit to sell. If you encounter a door-to-door sales person, please ask to see a license. If the person cannot show a license, notify the city clerk at 443-5655. Also, a reminder for bicycle riders that a city ordinance prohibits carrying more people on a bicycle than the bike is is designed and equipped to carry.
Gospel in the park
Duane and Deb Andres of Alta Vista will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Americus City Park. The couple will sing contemporary music, old-time hymns and other Christian music. There is no admission charge and refreshements will be served. Please take lawn chairs. In the event of bad weather, the program will be held at the Methodist Church.
