WE WOULD like to publicly send the most sincere thank you to everyone who made Emporia’s 150th Birthday Party such a wonderful and successful event!
Whether you served on the committee, attended the meetings, donated food, served food, worked as a volunteer, baked a cake, prepared a display, coordinated children’s activities, brought your school children, put together time-lines, became a character in living history, prepared and delivered a speech, wrote or performed songs, served as emcee, helped set up or tear down, cleaned and prepared the auditorium, ran the games, donated prizes, painted backdrops, decorated birthday cards, publicized the event, or came and simply had fun and participated in the party ... we thank YOU!!! It took ALL of us to make the party the success it was. And this was just the beginning. Now let’s all ‘band together’ again to make the July celebration just as wonderful and fun and exciting, as we continue to say “Happy Birthday, Emporia!”
