Tuesday, April 17, 2007
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a man who allegedly robbed an Emporia man and subsequently ordered the victim to chauffeur him to a mid-town location. The incident happened at 1231 E. Logan Ave. about 10 p.m. Sunday.
The victim, Charles D. Gilligan, said that the man approached him, stuck a pointed object in his left side, and demanded money. Gilligan said he complied and gave the person a large sum of money. He described the robber as wearing a blue sweatshirt, black ski mask and dark globes.
The man ordered Gilligan to drive him to Emporia and drop him between State and West streets on Eighth Avenue, and to wait a few minutes before leaving.
Anyone with information about the incident may call the sheriff’s office, 342-5545.

Did Mr. Gilligan just visit an ATM? I ask because this has happened where I live......someone goes to an ATM, withdraws a large some of money while someone within the vicinity is watching and then the person who withdrew the money is followed and subsequently robbed.
Just a thought.

I know--what I'm saying is that he could have been followed to Logan Ave after using an ATM.
