A Cottonwood Falls woman was killed Friday in an accident 10 miles east of Marion.
Jeris Louise Wunderlich, 26, had been driving east on Kansas Highway 150 when she lost control on the icy road, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Her Chevrolet turned sideways in the road and was hit by a westbound semi driven by Dale Tajchman of Lincolnville, 39.
Both vehicles went into the north ditch and Wunderlich was partly ejected from the car. She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was taken to the Shawnee County Coroner in Topeka.
Tajchman was not injured.
The accident happened around 5:20 p.m. at mile marker 8.3 on K-150.

I arrived at the scene after the accident and before police and emergency vehicles. When I arrived people were standing beside the road,I asked if evryone was o k and they responded yes.I asked about the person in the car one person said the person in the car obviously did not survive,I said I would check it out, they said no you can't go down there I said "try to stop me" I heard someone say the car could explode,I said "that's a chance I'll have to take.I made it to the car and it was an eerie feeling,I can't go into detail because of limits, what I want to know is why no one tried to save that young lady as God is my witness if I could Have I would have. When I got to the vehicle and saw the body I knew the person was deceased I saw her body partly ejected..I hope she believed in God and hope she may rest in peace. It's unfortunate that she died because those peoplewere to afraid to help and only assumed because the car was totalled so badly that person was dead at least I cared enough to check,If they had maybe she could have been saved God has her now and we (not even knowing her)are praying for her.We as human beings Love you and Pray for you to now be with God And rest in peace.

I'm wondering why the previous comments over here were deleted?
Jones--I am so sorry for your loss of faith in humanity. I wish I had the answer but I don't.

My mistake--I think I confused this with another accident.

Hello! My name is Tim Yette. This girl (Jeris) has been the love of my life. We have been together for the last 7 years. I was very disturbed to see this, but I want to thank the person that showed the care and concern for her so very much!

"Jones" I thank you very much for your human compassion. I know it must have been a difficult situation to be in.
I personally loved Jeris completely exactly how she was. She was my best friend for the past 14 years and I know I still haven't been able to move on, unlike some others that were supposedly very close to her. It's been two months and I am still unsure how things will go on with out her.
Jones - I also want to let you know, she did believe in God and I believe she is in God's hands now.
Thank you again for your compassion and for posting this. This at least reassures us that she did not suffer until the ambulance arrived. Thank you.
