Authors of the Month

The following students were selected as Authors of the Month at Olpe High School: Maddy Redeker, John Fritts, Garrett Gulick, Haley Kingsley, Caleb Coble, Justin Krueger, Isac Hall, Nathan Roeder and Marah McIlvain.

PTO volunteers

The Olpe PTO is seeking people to serve as officers or committee chairpeople for next year. If interested, call Hollie Frits at 342-2494. 

Team wins first

Five Olpe fourth graders saw months of problem-solving result in a first place trophy at the regional Odyssey of the Mind tournament in Madison. Kelsi Delong, Gwenna Schroeder, Courtney Sleezer, Brock Davis and Mathew Duncan are the team members. The team placed first in all three categories of the competition.

Lions Club calendars

This month, the Olpe Lions Club is taking orders for its third annual Community Calendar. This is one of the club’s major fund-raising projects. A new feature this year will be the inclusion of school activities from St. Joseph School, Olpe Elementary and Olpe High School.

The calendars run from September 2007 to August 2008 and sell for $7.
