School board meeting
Finances and staffing issues dominate the agenda for the Emporia board of education meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Mary Herbert Education Center.
The board will deal with staff appointments, resignations, and retirements, and non-renewal of certified employees.
Agenda items dealing with finances include: a resolution authorizing refinancing of district bonds, disposal of D600 laptop computers, approval of the Performance Based Budgeting report, a price quote for refinishing gymnasium floors, and a bid for lock systems.
Summer school course offerings and schedules also will be brought to the board for approval.
Walnut School staff members will present a curriculum report on the school’s extended learning program.
