An Oklahoma man arrested for a drug crime in Lyon County was indicted this week by a federal grand jury in Wichita.
According to information from Jim Cross of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Tuscon D. Redd II, 25, of Oklahoma City, is charged with one count of possession of approximately 126.5 grams of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, and one count of possession of approximately 1.8 pounds of powder cocaine with intent to distribute.
The crimes are alleged to have occurred Jan. 18 of this year in Lyon County.
If convicted, Redd could be sentenced to prison for 10 years to life on the crack cocaine charge and five years to 40 years on the powder cocaine charge.
He also could be fined $8 million on the crack cocaine charge and up to $2 million on the powder cocaine charge.
Redd’s case was investigated by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, the Kansas Highway Patrol, and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
The trial date has not been set.
