The weather has wreaked havoc on the area sports schedule for this weekend.
The Emporia State softball games for this weekend have been postponed, as ESU was scheduled to play at Missouri Western today and at Northwest Missouri State on Saturday. The Western date has been rescheduled for 4 p.m. on April 26, while the Northwest matchup will be made up at 2:30 p.m. on April 18.
The ESU baseball team’s games against Missouri Southern have been postponed, with Saturday’s games still scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
Emporia High had a full slate of activities set to go today, but they have since been postponed as well.
The EHS baseball and softball games against Topeka West have been moved to next Tuesday, with the baseball team at Topeka West and the softball team at home.
The EHS track team will make up today’s meet at Topeka High on Monday.
As for Thursday activities, the girls soccer team’s game against Junction City was moved to next Thursday, the boys golf invitational at Topeka High has been moved, but no makeup date has been announced, and the boys tennis invitational at Newton has been moved to next Wednesday.
