Lyon County commissioners will meet for a study session beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the Lyon County commission chambers in the Lyon County Courthouse.
At 9 a.m., Chip Woods will bring road supervisor and sign supervisor reports and will discuss directions regarding Road U development and billing.
Becky Haddicke from SRS will discuss Early Childhood Task Force proclamation at 9:45 a.m.
Zoning issues will be brought to the table at 10 a.m. by Steve Samuelson, Lyon County zoning administrator and flood plain manager. The first application is for an agricultural special use manufactured home by Larry Shook. Samuelson will also present commissioners with an application for agriculture special use rock quarry by Pyramid Stone, LLC and discuss text changes for zoning and directional signs.
At 10:30 a.m., Marc Goodman, Lyon County attorney, will discuss using up to $1,700 from diversion fund to purchase 2007 Kansas Criminal Code and 2007 Kansas Traffic Code pocket-size books for all law enforcement officers in Lyon County. Goodman will discuss using up to $8,175 from diversion fund to purchase FullCase software maintenance and support contract.
At 10:45 a.m., Doug Stueve, of the Department of Aging Services, will discuss the replacement of an office copy machine and will give a department update on key projects.
