WHEN IT COMES to giving presents I am a bit challenged. I usually find it beneficial to bounce gift ideas off various people to get their opinions and make sure the gift is appropriate.
But this year for Ashley’s birthday I thought I had the perfect gift, so I didn’t seek any second opinions. Since our girls have started riding bikes I thought I would get Ashley a new bike so she could ride with them. I thought the girls and Ashley would really enjoy riding right now during the nice fall weather.
But since her birthday the bike has not been logging many miles — actually, it has not been used at all.
If I would have bounced the bike idea off Ashley’s friends, I wonder if they would have informed me that women who are nine months pregnant typically don’t spend a lot of time riding bikes.

Geez, Chris, she's only going to be pregnant a little bit longer. Give the lady some time. I'll bet she will be happy to bicycle with the kiddos in "after" due time!
