Lee leads Northern Heights runners at State

Amy Lee was the top finisher for Northern Heights at the Class 3A girls State cross country meet on Saturday, as she finished the 4-kilometer race at Wamego in a time of 16:06, good for 22nd place.
Behind Lee was Gesina Miller in 59th place in a time of 17:27. Leslie Delcamp came in 62nd (17:36), Annie Adams placed 68th (17:46) and Bailey Ziegler finished 72nd (17:54) to round out the Northern Heights scoring. As a team, the Northern Heights girls finished eighth with 210 points. On the boys side, Northern Heights’ only State qualifier, Pete Symmonds, finished 65th in a time of 19:19 on the boys 5K course.
