Will vote no

I DON’T BELIEVE the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce when they make the claim that full-time experienced management will cost less.
First, surveys can be adjusted to show whatever results are desired.
Second, several years ago, a professional finance manager was hired and proved to be inefficient and superfluous.
It took Myron Van Gundy, with the help of Bobbie Agler and Dan Slater, to get the county finances back on course.
Vote NO.
Now is not the time for the taxpayer to be burdened with the expense of a county administrator. This will cost more because one position usually turns into MORE: More assistants, more secretaries, more benefits, more seminars, more vehicles, more office space and all of the accompanying equipment.
Do we need a county manager? Vote NO!
Do we need five commissioners? Vote NO!
