IN REGARDS to the opinion “Join this century” on questions 1 and 2 on the ballot Nov. 7.
A vote of yes will not lower taxes.
One thing is for sure, a yes will increase your taxes for the costs of two more commissioners and an administrator and their staffs.
Taxes can be lowered with three commissioners, as well as five and an administrator.
The mill levy can be controlled at the county commission level and increases in valuations should not lead to automatic mill increases.
The voters can have an influence on the mill levy with three commissioners and not have the expense of five or an administrator.
